Some claim the south’s sleepy pace comes as a result of sultry summers that overstay their welcome. Others say it’s that cadence of speech that pours out sweet and slow as molasses. Truth be known, one look at our collection of magnificent iron beds bears witness to why the south is in no hurry to awaken. Over the years, we have added many new styles to our brass bed line and, in 1984, we introduced our first cast iron bed. (Some people incorrectly label these wrought iron beds, but our beds are formed by casting the tubes and bar stock together. Wrought iron comes from shaping hot metal with hammers and other tools.) The designs we create are replicas of classic iron beds. By carefully choosing designs that have stood the test of time and maintaining the same high quality standards found in our brass beds, we create iron beds that our customers love when they see them and cherish as the years go by. Our craftmanship and quality is superior to any other manufacturer. We chose to use the highest-quality materials available along with old-world craftsmanship to create a durable, unshakable bed with steel-reinforced side posts, heavy-gauge solid brass, and a cast, dovetail frame system. We have the flexibility to suit the design of the bed to the customer's requirements and we offer beds in all the sizes: twin, full, queen, and king. Most of our iron beds and brass beds are crafted for the individual customer; their name accompanies the job ticket. Every bed we make is touched by multiple hands and is the culmination of many hours of labor. This is the heart of our unique process. Each premium finish is applied over hours by one of our artists, who then sign their work. We are not mass producers or mass marketers, so when you get one our beds, it’ll be one of a kind -- yours.
